About Americo Makk (American b.1927)
|
Americo Makk was born in Gyor, Hungary, studied at the
Hungarian National Academy of Arts in Budapest, followed by the Academy of Fine
Arts in Rome. While in New York, Eva and Americo were awarded the prestigious
American Ecclesiastical Award for their church murals in Dayton, Ohio and
Cornwall, New York. The Makks have been sponsored by the United Nations and have
exhibited at the Carnegie International Center by special invitation. They have
exhibited in Europe, South Americo and throughout most of the United States.
Four presidential portraits by America and Eva hang in the White House,
including Americo's portrait of President Regan. The family has won over 100
gold medals, awards of merit and diplomas worldwide.
