Ramon Lombarte (Spanish b.1956) "AT THE RITZ" acrylic on linen signed "Lombarte" lower right 51 x 77in. Born in Barcelona, Spain, Ramon Lombarte attended the Massana School of Fine Arts in his native city, where fellow Spaniards Picasso and Miro were at one time students. Lombarte specializes in studies of woman, most often solitary, in the intimacy of their own world, creating a sensual and reflective mood. In his series "At the Ritz", Lombarte focuses on a woman inside a room at the Ritz Hotel in Barcelona.
