Lot 159 Joseph Sacks (American 1887-1973) "ATLANTIC CITY" oil on panel signed "Sacks" lower right 14 x 11in. Joseph Sacks studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts with Thomas Anshutz, William Merritt Chase and William Kendall. He was a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club and the Philadelphia Art Alliance. He later lived and painted in California where some now claim him to be a "California Artist"
