Clyde Aspevig (American b.1951) "TOWERING HEIGHT" oil on canvas signed lower left "Aspevig" 50 x 30in. Provenance: Trailside Galleries 1992, Colorado Historic Society. Currently considered one of America's premier landscape painters, Clyde Aspevig was born on a small farm near Rudyard, Montana. He was a member of the Northwest Rendezvous Group from 1981 to 1987, where he won five of their merit awards. In 1990 he was awarded the highest prize given by the National Academy of western Art, the Frederic Remington Award. Aspevig is represented by Trailside Galleries in Scottsdale Arizona and Jackson, Wyoming where he has participated in six one-man showings from 1984 to 1993.
